Terms and Conditions
Eligibility and Criteria
- Applicants must be a nonprofit organization, government agency, or educational institution.
- Organizations must operate within the United States.
- The organization’s mission and activities must align with the objectives of the grant provider (See FAQs).
Grant Types
- Full Grants: Cover 100% of the technology services and support provided.
- Matching Grants: Cover 50% of the costs, with the applicant required to fund the remaining 50%.
Application Process
- Submission: Applications must be submitted through the designated online portal by the specified deadline.
- Documentation: Applicants must provide detailed information about their organization, including mission, activities, financial status, and specific technology needs.
- Evaluation: Applications will be evaluated based on alignment with grant objectives, impact potential, and organizational capacity.
Grant Use
- Grants must be used solely for the purposes outlined in the application, including technology services, web design, and development.
- With a services grant, the organization will receive support in the form of services performed by Alliance team according to a mutually agreed-upon scope of work. No direct funding is provided. Instead, the grant is fulfilled through services delivered by Alliance to the recipient organization. These services do not cover out-of-pocket expenses.
- Grants cannot be used for any other purposes other than the project applied for without prior written consent from Alliance.
Project Implementation
- Timeline: Projects must commence within 30 days of receiving the grant and be completed within 90 days of starting the project.
- Reporting: Recipients must receive regular progress reports, including milestones achieved and any challenges encountered.
- Final Report: A comprehensive final report must be submitted within 30 days of project completion, detailing the outcomes, impact, and financial expenditure.
Compliance and Accountability
- Audit Rights: The grant provider reserves the right to audit the project and financial records to ensure compliance with the grant terms.
- Compliance: Recipients must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to data security and privacy.
Publicity and Acknowledgment
- Recipients must acknowledge Alliance in all promotional materials and communications related to the funded project.
- The grant provider reserves the right to use the recipient’s name and project details for promotional purposes.
Termination and Repayment
- Termination: Alliance reserves the right to terminate the grant if the recipient fails to comply with the terms and conditions.
- Repayment: In the event of termination the recipient may be required to repay the grant amount in full.
Intellectual Property
- Any intellectual property created as part of the funded project shall be owned by the recipient, with Alliance granted a perpetual, royalty-free license to use, modify, and distribute the created works.
Liability and Indemnification
- Alliance is not liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from the recipient’s use of the grant.
- Recipients agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alliance from any claims arising out of the project’s implementation.
Amendments
- Alliance reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any amendments will be communicated to the recipients in writing and delivered via email.
Acceptance
- By accepting the grant, recipients agree to abide by these terms and conditions and any additional requirements specified by Alliance.
